White Sox Trade Yohan Ramirez to Mets
Eric Canha-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago White Sox made a minor move on Monday by trading pitcher Yohan Ramirez to the New York Mets in exchange for cash considerations.

Ramirez was designated for assignment by the White Sox on Dec. 13 to make room on the 40-man roster for their new acquisition, right-handed pitcher Erick Fedde

After starting the 2023 season in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, Ramirez was claimed off waivers by the White Sox in September. He appeared in five games for Chicago down the stretch. In 31 total appearances in 2023, Ramirez posted a 4.23 ERA and 35 strikeouts across 38.1 innings of work.
